In her morning conference, the President of the Republic, Claudia Sheinbaum, addressed the allegations regarding a supposed "encapsulation" of judges and workers from the Judiciary during the Formula 1 event at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome. Sheinbaum clarified that it was a protective measure for the drivers entering the venue.
"Yesterday I saw the photographs on social media and then some videos came out, but I asked the cabinet for them; it is the moment when the Formula 1 drivers are entering," Sheinbaum stated. The president explained that this encapsulation was temporary and was lifted immediately after the drivers entered the venue.
Sheinbaum emphasized that Formula 1 is a highly relevant event both nationally and internationally. She assured that the protection was provided to prevent the door from closing during the drivers' entry, and that normal mobility was allowed afterward.
The president added that security authorities are expected to provide more details about what happened in the coming hours. This incident generated various reactions, including criticism and concerns, so greater clarity is awaited regarding the events that occurred at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome during the Formula 1 event.
